Licence types

Exclusive and non-exclusive licences, term, territory and the sample NDA.

Updated 15 Oct 2026

Exclusive means one buyer holds the key for the term; non-exclusive means the owner can license again.

Every licence is set along four dials. The owner sets what they'll offer; the lab picks within it.

Term

How long the licence lasts. What happens to the data and to models trained on it at the end of the term is written into each licence.

Territory

Where the licensed data may be used. Worldwide or named countries, per licence.

Permitted use

Training, evaluation, or both, as named in the licence. Redistribution is never permitted. See the permitted-use matrix.

Before a licence: the sample NDA

A sample is shared under a click-through sample NDA: use only to evaluate, delete after evaluation, and no contact with the owner outside Quarry.

The full terms are the data licensing terms.
